Newberg Youth Baseball League Information

Newberg Youth Baseball League is an instructional and competitive baseball program for boys and girls grades PK-8th. Players in grades PK-4th play in the Cal-Ripken baseball league and players in grades 5th-8th play in the JBO league (Junior Baseball Organization).

Cal-Ripken vs. JBO

These are both organizations that fall under the Newberg Youth Baseball program.  Cal-Ripken includes our T-ball, Rookie, and Minors teams. JBO(Junior Baseball Organization) includes grades 5-8.  They are referred to by the following: Senior(7-8), Junior(5-6). With three levels in each- Federal, American, and National.

Cal-Ripken teams will play their games locally in Newberg, Dundee, and possibly St. Paul. JBO teams will play in Newberg but will also travel out of the local areas based on the league divisions. For more information please visit the websites for each organization.

Mission Statement

In accordance with the Babe Ruth/ Cal Ripken mission statement where competitive rules teach skills, mental and physical development, a respect for the game and basic ideals of  sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork, the Newberg charter offers the same opportunity to every child with a desire to play baseball.

We are community baseball - focused on the betterment of Newberg (and surrounding cities) through the game of baseball. We'd love for you join our league!
